Empowering Schools to Become Trauma Informed
The purpose of this asynchronous, online learning series of modules is to train site-based facilitators to provide high-quality professional development about trauma-informed practices. The members of a school community know its needs best. Therefore, professional development delivered by someone from within that community can be the most relevant. After completing Modules 1 through 5, you will be provided all the materials needed to redeliver the first four modules to your school’s staff. Each module will take about 1 hour to complete and includes both video and offline reflection activities and a module assessment that must be passed with an 80% or greater to move on to subsequent modules.
This training was made possible through funding secured by Senator Pat Browne and provided via a Pennsylvania Department of Education grant.
Through support from the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit 21 Executive Director, Dr. Elaine Eib, the CLIU Resiliency Team created and developed this training.
Special thanks is given to CLIU Curriculum and Instruction/Educational Technologies department for their assistance in completing the video, production and publication of this work.
Only individuals who have completed the facilitator training requirements of this module series may reproduce or transmit these materials without written consent of the CLIU.
