  •  The Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit #21 serves as the coordinating agency that brings together diverse school districts, career and technical schools, businesses, and community groups.

    It is the job of the CLIU #21 to facilitate inter-district cooperation, provide educational and administrative services to schools, and function as a link between the Pennsylvania Department of Education and local school districts.

    The CLIU #21 Serves:
    • 14 School Districts within Carbon and Lehigh Counties
    • 8 Charter Schools
    • Approximately 1,200 Employees

Public Notice - CLIU 21 Board Meeting


    The Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit Board Meeting scheduled for Monday, October 18, 2021 at 6:30 pm will be held hybrid—in-person and virtually.

    If a member of the public would like to attend the meeting virtually, they may call the following telephone number:

    If a member of the public would like to attend the meeting in person, the meeting will be held in the Board Room of the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit, 4210 Independence Drive, Schnecksville, PA.

    Per policy, all persons wishing to participate in a public Board meeting shall register their intent with the Board Secretary prior to the call to order of the public Board meeting and include the name of the participant, group affiliation (if appropriate), and the topic to be addressed using the web form found here. Failing to register will result in a Participant not being recognized to address the Board. Participants must be recognized by the presiding officer and must preface their comments by an announcement of their name and group affiliation, if appropriate. Each participant’s statement shall be limited to three (3) minutes duration. The presiding officer may interrupt or terminate a participant’s statement when the statement is too lengthy, personally directed, abusive, obscene, irrelevant, and/or their connection is disrupted and/or audio is distorted.
