     Embracing the New Pillars of Modern Teaching is a 3 credit (90 hour) CPE course that will challenge educators to investigate the effect technology has on pedagogy and student engagement.  Participants will be asked to consider making shifts in instructional strategies that rely on their understanding of learning design, curating for learning, and providing effective, meaningful feedback.  By the end of this learning experience, educators will have planned a new structure of learning for at least one learning unit that includes curating resources and designing a variety of learning experiences for students.

     

    Middle School Teacher's Role in Developing Students' College and Career Readiness

    This online course is designed to expand and deepen middle school teachers’ ability to effectively integrate college and career readiness skills and attributes into their curricula. While these skills are grounded in meeting all academic standards, the learning and activities embedded in this course focus on Pennsylvania’s Career Education and Work (CEW) Standards, specifically the grade eight benchmarks.

     

    *All courses end on the 15th of the month following the start date.

  • The listed CPE courses are open to all qualified personnel.

    Pennsylvania Department of Education Continuing Professional Education credits apply for Level II certification and / or master's equivalency. A maximum of 18 credits may be taken towards a master's equivalency. Credits taken for salary increases must comply with district policy.

If you do not have access to CPE Tracker by login, you can register for courses at www.cliu.org/register.  

    • The cost for a 3 credit CPE course is $255. Please make checks and money orders payable to CLIU 21 and mail to CLIU #21, 4210 Independence Drive, Schnecksville, PA 18078; Attn. Brenda Kauffman. A participant's registration is complete when, a check or money order is received or school district PO # is inserted into the payment drop down box for invoice district.
