| The Department of Educational Technologies provides a broad array of services to students and educators in Carbon and Lehigh Counties. The department staff consists of individuals committed to providing services and fostering communication for our constituent districts. Services include the coordination of student programs, professional development, the Instructional Media Center, providing and facilitating distance learning opportunities, integrating emerging educational technologies into the classroom, and the facilitation of regional council meetings. |

The Department of Educational Technologies employs four full-time professionals with training responsibilities. All trainers are Pennsylvania Instructional Technology Specialist certified with graduate degrees in technology related fields. During the 2007-2008 school year, over fifty workshops and presentations are scheduled to be conducted throughout Carbon and Lehigh Counties. Additional presentations have been scheduled statewide and nationally. Topics will range from basic Microsoft Office to Web 2.0, Classroom Preformance System, and other emerging technologies. The CLIU utilizes a cutting edge training facility with complete wireless internet coverage, two computer labs consisting of 60 wireless laptop computers, one computer lab of 20 desktop computers, full audio/video and SMART technology capabilities in each of our 19 conference rooms.
