The Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit and participating students in collaboration with the community has created a Web site related to historical events in Carbon and Lehigh Counties. The Web site contains information documenting people and events that have had an impact on a local, national and international level. This project included students with special needs, students in the general education curriculum, educational staff within the CLIU and its' participating districts and partnerships with public libraries, veteran's organizations and local historical societies. |

Through this project, students will attain job skills, technology skills, research skills, time management, and team collaboration. The end result was the creation of this unique resource that is a combination of experiences, first hand accounts, and documented facts that is accessible worldwide for incorporation into school curriculum and for general purposes. Students had an active role in designing the Website by choosing content, gathering information from outside sources, and videotaping interviews. |
